Tshirt Perfumes

Tshirt Perfumes?

Yes. Perfumes that claim to smell like ~ your skin but better ~. These perfumes are usually pretty heavy on ambroxan and then just have a few other things mixed in to give it a vibe. I really like these perfumes because they are light, usually not overpowering, and even though the top notes usually fade quickly, the base notes stick around and evolve throughout the day. Plus they make your clothes also smell like your clothes but better. I have a few of these, and in this essay I will review a few of them:

Rosie Jane- Rosie

I actually just got this as a sample today and I fell in love immediately. It actually inspired this post! This perfume is actually a perfume oil (coconut oil base), so it’s alcohol free and actually does seem kind of oily, but it does dry down. It has a very fresh, clean smell. Everyone on Fragrantica describes it as rose with vanilla. I would disagree on the vanilla, and its not necessarily a strong artificial rose smell, it really is a sheet fresh rose petal smell. I also think there’s a very light undercurrent of cucumber. It definitely has somewhat of a musky smell, but it errs on the fresh and somewhat sweet side. I cannot wait until I get a full size!

Glossier- You

The It Girl. The bottle is beautiful, the perfume is beautiful, the branding is beautiful. This perfume comes in a modern pink ombre bottle with a red lid, and very quality silver sprayer. You can also get a heavy pink pod with a solid version inside, you can get a very nice candle in a beautiful red glass container. It has incredible cold throw (ambient scent when not lit). You can also get it in a beautiful pink container in the form of a hand and cuticle cream. I think this scent is creamy, fresh, and a bit sharp. On me it almost starts to smell like a cleaning spray… but I tolerate it anyways haha. It really does change with your body chemistry.

Ouai- Melrose Place

Shampoo. Clean skin. A clean shower. Fresh. This perfume is all these things, and then very sweet. I will say it does not last very long, or I get used to it quickly. It has a very sheer gardenia or orange blossom scent too. But its NOT floral at all, its definitely a more creamy and soapy vibe.

Phlur- Missing Person

I have a love hate relationship with this perfume. It goes a little weird on my skin, and can be a little too much sometimes. But it is a beautiful amber color, and honestly does have some ambery scent to it. Some people have described it as smelling like their mom. I could see this for sure. It has somewhat of an antique smell to it I think.

Juliette- Not a Perfume

I actually got a sample of this perfume, like, almost a decade ago, and I thought it smelled pretty good but I was like 17 and not interested in perfume that much. This perfume is actually not a perfume, as they claim, it is pure ambroxan, and smells different on everyone. On me it turns almost almond-y. It also definitely has a chemically smell, but that wears off pretty quickly. Its also somewhat soapy and clean on me as well.
